Vernon was born May 11, 1957, in Kansas City, MO, the son of Vernon Rogers Sr. and Ethel Melinda Rose.\u00a0 He was married on\u00a0Febuary\u00a014, 1977 to Michelle Kennison, his wife of 44 years.<\/p>\n<p>He leaves behind his wife, Michelle; his children, son Christopher\u00a0Rogers,\u00a0daughter Mandie Rogers, and son Eric Rogers; three granddaughters, Mercedes Rogers, Alexus Rogers, and Cheyenne Rogers; and one grandson, Aiden Rogers.<\/p>\n<p>He was preceded in death by his parents and\u00a0mother-in-law,\u00a0Shirley Jean Blackburn.<\/p>\n<p>Vernon was a Veteran of the Army, after which he worked in various trades and was a builder. But the job he cared for most was of Papa to his grandchildren, who he adored and loved so dearly.<\/p>\n<p>Arrangements in care of Fry-Bross &amp; Spidle Funeral Home, Kearney.<\/p>\n<div style=\"background-color: #efdbd9; padding: 1em;\">\n<h5>Our Sincere Condolences<\/h5>\n<p>Chris Rogers &#8211; I am thinking of you and your family during this time.<br \/>\nQadir Fazli<\/p>\n<p>I love you uncle.
