\"\"Eula \u201cPat\u201d Clara Lay, 91, Excelsior Springs, Mo., passed away September 26, 2020 at Excelsior Springs Nursing and Rehab.<\/p>\n

Pat was born January 3, 1929 in Woodbine, Kans.<\/p>\n

Pat was a server at Liberty Hills Country Club and the Royal Grill.\u00a0 She loved spending time with her grandchildren and having Monday night dinners with her family.<\/p>\n

Pat was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne; daughter, Brenda Blackburn; one brother and sister.<\/p>\n

Survivors include her two sons, Bill (Jess) Lay and Steve Lay; son-in-law, John Blackburn; brother, Wayne (Judy) Albrecht; two grandchildren, Greg (Mary) Lay and Chris Lay; and seven great grandchildren, Garrett, Ashton, Connor, Elizabeth, Rachel, Zachary and Andrew.<\/p>\n

Graveside services will be held at a later date.<\/p>\n

Arrangements in care of Bross & Spidle Funeral Home, Excelsior Springs.<\/p>\n

Bill and Jess Chris and Greg, I send to you my condolences.\u00a0 I just saw.\u00a0 Your mom\/grandma was a gem.\u00a0 When I was a kid, only just old enough to stay at home by myself, she would let. me ride to work with her and I would swim all day at LHCC. She was so very nice.\u00a0 I know her presence will be missed.

Sadness fills my heart with this news. It was a privilege to take care of miss Eula at the cc for all the time we had. She truly touched my heart and I\u2019ve thought about her always since CC closed. I actually visited her more than a few times at ESNR before covid and she never forgot my name! I will miss her.
