Brian was born February 14, 1963 to Cleaburn and Joanne (Rock) Cook in Stilwell, Okla.\u00a0\u00a0 He enjoyed hunting, fishing, building long range rifles and spending time with his family and friends.\u00a0 His work journey began at Pella Windows, he then became a Union Carpenter at ASI from which he retired. Then began working at Gear Headquarters as a machinist.<\/p>\n
He was preceded in death by his father, Cleaburn Cook.<\/p>\n
He is survived by his wife, Joy Cook; daughter, Brandi and husband, Greg McGaugh; mother, Joanne Cook; sister, Pam Litton; and several nieces and nephews.<\/p>\n
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, September 14, 2019 at the Excelsior Springs Baptist Church, with service following. Burial at Hillcrest Cemetery.<\/p>\n

I am Brian’s paternal Aunt, he was my Brothers oldest child, and only Son. Altho I didn’t get to see him very often, I have loving memories of him. Distance was a factor in our communication, since he was about 3 years old. I love him dearly and so sorry I am not physically able to make the trip for his services. I will have all his immediate Family in my Prayers and on my mind with heartfelt condolences forever.

To the Cook family; my deepest condolences. I worked with Brian at Re-View and enjoyed his company immensely. He helped everyone who needed it, both professionally and personally, and went out of his way to make sure everyone felt included and appreciated. He would even burst out in song about each coworker that walked by with some personalized lyrics to bring out a smile. He often told me Joy was his rock in life, and the influence that made him strive to be such a good man. The world will feel his absence, but will always feel his love.

I\u2019ve been sadden by the news of cousin Brian\u2019s passing, he has always seemed to me to be a good man, a proud father, devoted husband, a caring brother and faithful son and I pray for comfort and peace to find his family. I worked With Brian at Re-View in the shop for a brief time.
\nI was hoping to reconnect with him after he retired to come check out his home shop. Sadly I waited to long to do so.
\nBrian was superbly talented in keeping his coworkers and myself in good spirits in the shop.
\nHe was often referred to as the shops song bird due to him always singing or whistling an upbeat tune.
\nI looked up to Brian tremendously and I will never forget him.
