\"\"James Walter Harrington, 82, Excelsior Springs, Mo., passed away May 20, 2019 at his home surrounded by his family.<\/p>\n

James was born January 29, 1937 in Kansas City, Kans., the son of Walter D. and Alene Ethel Harrington.\u00a0 He was a member of City On A Hill Church.\u00a0 James enjoyed spending time with his family and playing with his great grandchildren.\u00a0 He also enjoyed woodworking, fishing, watching westerns on T.V., and playing cards.<\/p>\n

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Maria \u201cMary\u201d Harrington; and son, James \u201cJamie\u201d Walter Harrington Jr.<\/p>\n

He is survived by his five daughters, Teresa (John) Senciboy of Orrick, Mo., Melinda Sue (Denny) Harrington of Kansas City, Mo., Lisa (Frank) Thompson of Blue Springs, Mo., Vicky (Thomas) Buchanan of Holt, Mo., and Janie (Gordon) Senciboy of Excelsior Spring, Mo.; brother, Allen; sister, Sandy; 22 grandchildren; 40 great grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter.<\/p>\n

A memorial service will be held 2 p.m., Saturday, June 1, 2019 at City On A Hill Church in Holt, Mo., followed by a meal and family gathering. Graveside services will be held at Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Higginsville, at a later date.<\/p>\n
