{"id":4269,"date":"2019-05-14T17:37:00","date_gmt":"2019-05-14T17:37:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/brossspidlemonuments.com\/?p=4269"},"modified":"2019-05-20T21:17:36","modified_gmt":"2019-05-20T21:17:36","slug":"jacob-michael-halterman","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/staging.brossspidlemonuments.com\/index.php\/2019\/05\/14\/jacob-michael-halterman\/","title":{"rendered":"Jacob Michael Halterman"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-4271 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/brossspidlemonuments.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/jacob_halterman2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"395\" srcset=\"https:\/\/staging.brossspidlemonuments.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/jacob_halterman2.jpg 300w, https:\/\/staging.brossspidlemonuments.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/jacob_halterman2-228x300.jpg 228w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/>Jacob Michael Halterman, 25, Excelsior Springs, MO passed away May 14, 2019.<\/p>\n<p>Jacob was born January 12, 1994 at Madigan Army Medical Center, Fort Lewis, WA.\u00a0 Jacob was baptized on July 10, 1994 at Zion Lutheran Church in Denison, IA.\u00a0 Being part of a military family that moved around, he lived in McChord AFB, WA; Whiteman AFB, MO; Derby, KS; Lawson, MO; and finally made his home with his brother in Excelsior Springs, MO.\u00a0 Jacob started his school years at Whiteman AFB on August 30, 1999 and graduated from Lawson High School on May 22, 2012. Growing up Jacob played football and wrestled.\u00a0 He loved playing bull in the ring because very few players could knock Jacob out of the ring in football.\u00a0 Jacob was blessed with the talent of wrestling.\u00a0 His very first year he placed 2<sup>nd<\/sup> at the Kansas State Championship Tournament.\u00a0 Jacob never failed to place or win a tournament.<\/p>\n<p>Jacob was known for his endearing grin, quick wit, straight forward honesty, his kind heart and his unconditional loyalty to his family and friends.\u00a0 He was always willing to help others in need and expected nothing in return.\u00a0 Jacob loved to torment his family but it was done with a sense of humor only Jacob could have.\u00a0\u00a0 He enjoyed going to the races with his friends Chaz and Brawley.\u00a0 His latest adventure was to watch the truck and car races @KCIR with Brawley.\u00a0 He also enjoyed playing video games with Seth, Matty Matt, and his brother.\u00a0 His favorite shows were Grand Tour and Demolition Ranch.\u00a0 He also enjoyed reading and watching anime with Matthew.\u00a0 He later attended Vatterott College in Kansas City where he graduated with a degree in automotive repair.\u00a0 Jacob had a passion for cars and he always repaired other people\u2019s cars.\u00a0 He loved his 1988 Firebird and his 2009 Dodge Challenger which he named KO KO after one of his favorite anime characters.\u00a0 Jacob\u2019s latest accomplishment was about to start.\u00a0 He was going to attend the University of Nebraska and was going to major in mechanical engineering.<\/p>\n<p>Jacob was preceded in death by his grandparents, Paula and Jerry Segebart.<\/p>\n<p>Survivors include his parents Chris and Jeri Halterman of Lawson, MO; older brother, Matthew Halterman of Excelsior Springs; younger sister, Nicole and her husband, Patrick Roberts of Excelsior Springs, MO; grandparents, Delos and Mary Halterman of Elgin, SC; nephews, Triston and Alex and niece, Emma of Excelsior Springs; aunts and uncles, Steve and Kelly Attanasio of Deloit, IA, Tracy and Tom Wiebelhaus of Elgin, SC; and cousins, Brooke and Megan Attanasio of Deloit, IA.\u00a0 Jacob is also survived by many other relatives and friends.<\/p>\n<p>Visitation will be held from 12:30 to 2 p.m., Wednesday, May 22, 2019 with service following at Bross &amp; Spidle Funeral Home, Excelsior Springs, MO.<\/p>\n<div style=\"background-color: #efdbd9; padding: 1em;\">\n<h5>Our Sincere Condolences<\/h5>\n<p>Chris,<br \/>\nYou and your family have my sincere condolences in this time of need.<br \/>\nYour childhood neighbor,<br \/>\nDarla Thomsen-Rickers<\/p>\n<p>Chris and Jeri, I wanted you both to know how sorry I am for the loss of your child.\u00a0 If you need anything, just ask.\u00a0 I will continually keep you all in my prayers.<br \/>\nClarissa Douthit<\/p>\n<p>To the entire Halterman Family,<br \/>\nWe are praying for all of you and we are so sorry for your loss.<br \/>\nDave Best<\/p>\n<p>I am very sorry for your loss of someone so young in their prime of life.\u00a0 Your family will be in my thoughts and prayers.<br \/>\nJoan Clarkston<\/p>\n<p>Chris\/family,<br \/>\nI am very sorry for your loss.\u00a0 I am praying for comfort for you at this time.<br \/>\nBrad Pettijohn<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Jacob Michael Halterman, 25, Excelsior Springs, MO passed away May 14, 2019.
