{"id":3997,"date":"2019-03-23T14:49:26","date_gmt":"2019-03-23T14:49:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/brossspidlemonuments.com\/?p=3997"},"modified":"2019-03-29T05:58:03","modified_gmt":"2019-03-29T05:58:03","slug":"john-richard-williams","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/staging.brossspidlemonuments.com\/index.php\/2019\/03\/23\/john-richard-williams\/","title":{"rendered":"John Richard Williams"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-4006 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/brossspidlemonuments.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/john_williams.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"350\" height=\"472\" srcset=\"https:\/\/staging.brossspidlemonuments.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/john_williams.jpg 350w, https:\/\/staging.brossspidlemonuments.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/john_williams-222x300.jpg 222w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 350px) 100vw, 350px\" \/>John Williams, 81, Lathrop, Mo., passed March 23, 2019.<\/p>\n<p>John was born April 8, 1937 the son of John \u201cJack\u201d Waller Jr. and Doris Marie Williams.<\/p>\n<p>In 1943 he started attending a one room school house in Barnesville, Mo. and Converse, Mo.\u00a0 He graduated Lathrop High School.<\/p>\n<p>He married that girl from Lawson, Mary Loretta Armes.\u00a0 To this union three children were born, Joy Loretta, Richard Eugene, and Enola Gay.\u00a0 He was a farmer all his life.\u00a0 He also worked in sod for Henry and H. Kratzer, also at Peppard Seed.\u00a0 He worked at Evergreen Nurseries, until it closed in 1986.\u00a0 He worked as a park maintenance worker at Watkins Mill state park for 16 years until his retirement.\u00a0 He was a farmer at heart and did so as long as his health allowed.\u00a0 He said his hobby was cutting fire wood.<\/p>\n<p>He was baptized into Christ by Elder Bob Armes, brother-in-law, in Milan, Mo. John was of the Christian faith.<\/p>\n<p>He was preceded in death by his parents; son-in-law, Lynn McGary; and brother-in-law, William Marion Richey, Wilber, Leon, Albert, Robert, Ted, Dewey Armes; sister-in-laws, Charlene, Ida, Alberta, Raymah, Wilma, Barbara, Geneva, Laura, Cathy (Armes) and their spouses.<\/p>\n<p>He is survived by his wife, Mary; children, Joy Loretta McGary, Richard Eugene Williams and Enola Gay (Todd) Scrivens; seven grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and sister, Jeanne Marie Richey.<\/p>\n<p>Visitation will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 27, 2019 at Bross &amp; Spidle Funeral Home, 214 Pennsylvania Ave., Lawson, Mo. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 28, 2019, also at the funeral home, burial following at Lawson Cemetery.<\/p>\n<div style=\"background-color: #efdbd9; padding: 1em;\">\n<h5>Our Sincere Condolences<\/h5>\n<p>Mary, I just found out about John&#8217;s passing today.
