{"id":340,"date":"2017-03-29T03:04:25","date_gmt":"2017-03-29T03:04:25","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/brossspidlemonuments.com\/?p=340"},"modified":"2018-10-12T22:05:33","modified_gmt":"2018-10-12T22:05:33","slug":"roger-dale","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/staging.brossspidlemonuments.com\/index.php\/2017\/03\/29\/roger-dale\/","title":{"rendered":"Roger Dale"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-342 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/brossspidlemonuments.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/r_dale.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"220\" height=\"243\" \/>Roger Dale, 72,\u00a0of Kearney, Mo.,\u00a0passed peacefully\u00a0from this life\u00a0on March 29, 2017, surrounded by his\u00a0family.<\/p>\n<p>Roger was born April 29, 1944, in St. Louis, Mo.\u00a0 When he was 8 years of age, he was adopted by Jennie and Ralph Dale and came to live in Kearney, Mo.\u00a0 Roger was welcomed into the Dale family and grew up with many cousins, aunts, uncles,\u00a0and\u00a0grandparents who showered love upon him.\u00a0 When Roger was 15, he welcomed his first sister, then four more siblings within 6 years, and enjoyed being the \u201cbig brother\u201d to all. \u00a0Roger graduated from Kearney High School in 1962.\u00a0 He went to work at Hallmark Cards and then to Western Electric.\u00a0 Later,\u00a0Roger transferred to\u00a0TWA where he worked\u00a0for 32 years until his retirement in 2001.<\/p>\n<p>Roger was proceeded in death by his infant son, Steven Lee; his daughter, Vickie Dale\u00a0Vanattan; a grandson,\u00a0Kaze; and his father, Ralph Dale.<\/p>\n<p>Roger took much joy in being a father. \u00a0He had two children of his own, and then adopted six others. \u00a0He is survived by his son, Edward (Kathy) Dale, of Aiken, S.C.;\u00a0daughter,\u00a0Dianna (Keith) Brockman, of Kansas City, Mo.;\u00a0son,\u00a0Brian (Shelly) Dale, Odessa, Mo.; Michael (Brenda) Dale, St. Joseph, Mo.;\u00a0David (Cassie) Dale, St. Joseph,\u00a0Mo.; Stephen Dale, St. Joseph, Mo.; and Scott (Katy) Dale, Tucson,\u00a0Ariz.\u00a0 Other survivors include his mother, Jennie Dale, of Kearney, Mo.; sisters, Elizabeth (Terry)\u00a0Barmann, Kansas City, Mo.; Jennifer (Todd) Jones, Tacoma, Wash.; brothers,\u00a0Ralph\u00a0(Olivia) Dale, Kearney, Mo.; Danny (Dana) Dale, Kearney, Mo.; sister, Emily Dale, Excelsior Springs, Mo.;\u00a020\u00a0grandchildren and\u00a012\u00a0great-grandchildren;\u00a0numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.<\/p>\n<p>Visitation will be held\u00a0Saturday, April 1, 2017\u00a0at the Kearney United Methodist Church from 10 to 11 a.m. with a service at the church at 11 a.m.\u00a0 Burial will immediately follow at Mt.
