\"\"Debra L. (Carder) Bernier, 64, passed away unexpectedly March 22, 2017 at her home in Kansas City, Mo.<\/p>\n

Debra was born February 13, 1953 in Excelsior Springs, Mo., to Eugene and Erma (Whelchel) Carder. She spent most of her adult life in Las Vegas, Nev., employed by Caesar’s Palace. She moved back to Missouri in May 2016.<\/p>\n

Debra was married to Michael Bernier who preceded her in death in 2010. Besides her parents and husband, Debra was preceded in death by her brother, Richard E. Carder.<\/p>\n

She is survived by her sisters, Kathy Atkinson and Karen Dixon; three nephews, Richard Atkinson, Jake Dixon and Matt Dixon; as well as her beloved Maltese, Daisy.<\/p>\n

Cremation. No services planned.<\/p>\n

Arrangements are through Bross and Spidle Funeral Home, Excelsior Springs.<\/p>\n

\nDeb was so very Very Pretty, Fun, Generous, and had a very Loving Heart…. She (and your Mom) fixed lunch for Jay and I when we were in Vegas. I was cold and she gave me a jean jacket (which I still have). I told her I would send it back but she said “No.”. I will cherish it forever.. “Loving Deb”
