It is with great sadness that the family of Daniel W. Oldham announces his passing after a brief illness, on Tuesday, April 10, 2018, at the age of 70 years.<\/p>\nIt is with great sadness that the family of Daniel W. Oldham announces his passing after a brief illness, on Tuesday, April 10, 2018, at the age of 70 years.<\/p>\n
Danny will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 48 years, Kathleen, and his children, David (Riki), and Matthew (Annie). Danny will also be fondly remembered by his three grandchildren, Alyson, Andrew and Madison, and a brother, Michael (Marla) Oldham, two nieces and four nephews.<\/p>\n
Danny was predeceased in death by his parents, Steve and Helen Oldham, a brother, Mark Oldham, and a sister, Cindy Jefferson<\/p>\n
A Military Honor Guard Graveside Service in memory of Danny will be held at 12:30 p.m. Monday, April 23, 2018 at Fort Leavenworth National Cemetery, Leavenworth, Kans. Those who so desire may make memorial donations in memory of Danny to the Kansas City Hospice & Palliative Care, 1500 Meadow Lake Pkwy Ste 200, Kansas City, MO 64114-9937.<\/p>\n

Although my husband and I only knew Dan, We had heard over the years many fond stories from him about his family who he loved so much. Dan\u00a0 had worked for us for around 15 years and I\u00a0 considered him a great friend. I was terribly saddened to hear this news. He will be greatly missed by many. A great man.

\nSo sorry to hear about my old friend’s passing.\u00a0 Danny and I have been friends since 12 years old.\u00a0 We were on the Holiday Swim Team and went through Jr. High and High School together.\u00a0 Later in years we became neighbors.\u00a0 I remember how he volunteered his time to help me with remodelling my house when my mom developed terminal cancer and had to come live with us.\u00a0 Danny was a good man and a good friend.\u00a0 He was well liked by all in the Ruskin Class of 65.\u00a0\u00a0 So long old friend.

We have so many photos and home movies of great times with you and Danny.\u00a0 Your wedding day, staying at Danny’s parents house at the lake, and getting together for Dick and Danny’s birthdays. We are going to miss his ever present smile.\u00a0 He was ALWAYS fun to be with and as he would say ….. LOVES HIS KATHY!!!!\u00a0 He was a great guy and loved by all who knew him. Our kids have many memories of Danny too, of couse, and their hearts are broken as well.
