Bessie retired from AT&amp;T in July 2008 with 30 years of service.<\/p>\n<p>Aunt Bessie had lots of interests. She loved gardening, travel, painting and music. If she found it interesting, she dabbled in it. She could play multiple instruments &#8212; guitar, banjo, mandolin, accordion, and auto harp.<\/p>\n<p>Bessie was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Billy Rex Huxtable, Marvin Edward &#8220;Buzz&#8221; Huxtable, and Gene Huxtable; and one sister, Anna (Wade) Huxtable.<\/p>\n<p>She is survived by one sister, Mildred George of Warsaw; one brother, John B. &#8220;J-bird&#8221; Huxtable of Kearney; and many nieces and nephews.<\/p>\n<p>Bessie loved working in her flower garden where her flowers wee always perfect &#8212; just like the perfect aunt she was.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Bessie Mae Huxtable, 71, of Holt, Mo., passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, February 5, 2018 from a long battle with cancer.
