He was stationed at Iwo Jima. Upon his honorable discharge in 1963, he drove a Ready Mix truck for Kearney Crete and Block. He then moved to Kansas City, MO, where he was employed at the Leeds Assembly Plant for Fisher Body, building classic cars until it closed down. He was then employed at Dean Machine headquarters in downtown Kansas City until retirement.<\/p>\n<p>Left to remember are his children, Troy (Gayle) Ogg of Lincoln and Tonia (Todd) Wade of Douglas; step-daughter, Michelle Burkey of Lexington; grandsons, James Dean of Lincoln and Jacob Dean of Exeter; as well as his dear sister-in-law, Lorraine (Archie) Ogg of Grand Island; and numerous nieces and nephews.<\/p>\n<p>He was preceded in death by his sweet wife, Datha; parents; all of his siblings; and a granddaughter.<\/p>\n<p>He will be cremated and a memorial will take place at a later date.<\/p>\n<p>Arrangements in care of Bross &amp; Spidle Funeral Home, Excelsior Springs.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-15918 alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/brossspidlemonuments.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/bernard-ogg-military.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"556\" srcset=\"https:\/\/staging.brossspidlemonuments.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/bernard-ogg-military.jpg 800w, https:\/\/staging.brossspidlemonuments.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/bernard-ogg-military-300x209.jpg 300w, https:\/\/staging.brossspidlemonuments.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/bernard-ogg-military-768x534.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/p>\n<div style=\"background-color: #efdbd9; padding: 1em;\">\n<h5>Our Sincere Condolences<\/h5>\n<p>My thoughts are with you during this emotional and difficult time.
