Colin was born on November 22, 1982 in Kansas City, Missouri, to Deborah Lee and Larry Dale.<\/p>\n<p>Colin grew up in Excelsior Springs where he began his love of sports, including baseball, football, wrestling and golf, before moving to Kansas City to attend the Pembroke Hill School. There, he enjoyed, captained and excelled in golf and wrestling, became a state champion and achieved many academic and athletic accomplishments. Colin also attended Vanderbilt University, where he joined the Beta Theta Pi fraternity and received his Bachelor&#8217;s Degree.<\/p>\n<p>Colin was an adventure seeker, outdoor enthusiast, music and animal lover. From skydiving to deep sea fishing, The Doors and many cats and dogs in between, Colin enjoyed these experiences, lyrics and furry companions. Colin was looking forward to moving back to Kansas City, reuniting with old friends, enjoying time with his family (especially his nieces and nephew), continuing his education and succeeding in his recovery.<\/p>\n<p>Colin is survived by his dad, Larry Dale, his mom, Deborah Lee-Hopkins (William and his children, Billy, Ryan and Leigh), his sister, Sarah Dale (Bryan Johnson), his nieces and nephew, Perry, Willa and Gentry, and his aunts, uncles and cousins.<\/p>\n<p>Colin was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Ralph and Emma Dale, and maternal grandparents, J.B. and Gladys Lee.<\/p>\n<p>Colin will be deeply missed by his family and friends. Visitation will be held from<span dir=\"ltr\"> 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 31, 2024<\/span>\u00a0at the First United Methodist Church in Excelsior Springs. Services will follow\u00a0<span dir=\"ltr\">at 2:00 p.m.<\/span> at the Church. Private burial will follow.
