\"\"Leslie C. Snodgrass, Sr., a caring father, grandfather, husband, brother and friend; was called home to be with his heavenly Father on December 15, 2023, at the age of 94. He was born in 1929, and spent his formative years surrounded by family and friends in Kansas City, Kansas. After attending Wyandotte High School, Leslie joined the U.S. Navy and spent four years touring the world as a Bosun\u2019s Mate.\u00a0 He met the love of his life, JoAnn Spindler in 1952, and together they raised four children in his hometown.<\/p>\n

Leslie worked at the Board of Public Utilities for over 20 years before finding his true calling in real estate where he was instrumental in negotiating the first combined MLS system for the Kansas City area.\u00a0 One of Leslie\u2019s favorite endeavors was buying and repairing old houses, and he used these skills to teach his three boys how to fix just about anything.\u00a0 Pop was up for new adventures and in the last 10 years of his life, moved from Liberty, Missouri, to the Ozarks, then to Belhaven, North Carolina, and finally to Crystal River, Florida.\u00a0 He spent his retirement years with family, fishing, playing cards and working on puzzles.\u00a0 Leslie made friends easily with his warm smile and ready laugh.<\/p>\n

Leslie was predeceased by his wife of 52 years, JoAnn Snodgrass, and his daughter, Susan Cook.<\/p>\n

He is survived by his loving children, Leslie Snodgrass, Jr. (Marsha), Tony Snodgrass (Jeanne), and Phil Snodgrass (Chris).\u00a0 He leaves behind seven grandchildren,\u00a0 Aimee Decker (Scott), Drew Snodgrass (Damien), Louis Snodgrass, James Snodgrass, Tyler Snodgrass and Allison Snodgrass, along with five great-grandchildren, Kadynce Snodgrass, Finn Decker, Iver Decker, Hazel Decker and Zion Decker.\u00a0 Leslie is survived by many relatives and friends who he loved visiting, talking to, and sharing laughs.<\/p>\n

Visitation will be held Thursday, January 18, 2024 at the Fry-Bross & Spidle Funeral Home, 208 S. Jefferson St., Kearney, MO 64060 from 5 to 7 p.m.<\/p>\n

Mass will be held Friday, January 19, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. in St Patrick\u2019s Catholic Church, 1086 N. 94th St., Kansas City, KS 66111, followed by burial at Mount Calvary.<\/p>\n
