Mary Alice Clevenger, age 84, passed peacefully into our heavenly Father\u2019s arms Wednesday, October 25, 2023.<\/p>\nMary Alice Clevenger, age 84, passed peacefully into our heavenly Father\u2019s arms Wednesday, October 25, 2023.<\/p>\n
Mary was born to Andrew and Cleta Wilcox on January 27, 1939 in Kansas City, Missouri. She was an only child and is now joined with her parents and daughter, Robin White.<\/p>\n
Mary graduated from Park Hill High School in 1957. She married Jesse T. White September 1,1958 and had two daughters, Holly and Robin. In 1983 she married Don Clevenger and added two daughters, Christina and Shelly, all of which resulted in five grandchildren and five great grandchildren.<\/p>\n
Mary retired from Bethany Medical Center after two decades and always spoke highly of her colleagues and her role as Hospital Administrator Assistant.<\/p>\n
She and Don were married 40 years and enjoyed their worldly travels every chance they got. Some of their favorite excursions were NYC, Greece, Germany, Italy and Ireland to name a few. They also had fun together owning and operating a women\u2019s boutique, \u201dBack East Limited\u201d for approximately six years.<\/p>\n
Mary is survived by her husband, Don; daughters and grandchildren, Jim, Ashley, Jennifer, Andy and Kenton; and her great grandchildren, Cole, Hadley, Tate, Mahaley and Miles.<\/p>\n
A Memorial visitation will be held Saturday, October 28, 2023, from 10 to 11 a.m. at Bross Spidle Funeral Home in Excelsior Springs, MO.<\/p>\n
She and Don will be buried together at Union Cemetery in Orrick, MO.<\/p>\n
