Larry Pendergrast, 73, Bolivar, MO, passed away August 31, 2022.<\/p>\n
Larry was born July 4, 1949, to Lawrence and Wilma Pendergrast in Excelsior Springs, MO. He was a graduate of Liberty High School.\u00a0 Larry worked construction and was member of the Carpenters Union.<\/p>\n
Larry enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing and being in his workshop.<\/p>\n
He is preceded in death by his parents; and son, John Pendergrast.<\/p>\n
He is survived by two sons, Thomas and wife, Stacey Pendergrast, and Scot Pendergrast; seven grandchildren, Nikki, Teela, Chris, Kylie, Alexis, Kayla, and Marisa Pendergrast; three great-grandchildren, Chase Maudlin, Bryce Maudlin, and Gavin Bauer; siblings, Tommy (Darlene Johnston) Pendergrast, Kay Looney, and Wanda and Tom Holloway.<\/p>\n
A celebration of his life will be held 2:00 p.m, Thursday, September 15, 2022, at Fry-Bross & Spidle Funeral Home, Kearney, MO.\u00a0 Inurnment will be in Fairview Cemetery at a later date.<\/p>\n
I am so sorry for your loss. Please find pride and peace as your father was an amazingly sweet, kind, and thoughtful man! Always had a smile to share and a kind word.

Me and Alexandra Sampson extend our deepest condolences if there’s one thing I remember that Larry has taught me and that was how to build things he helped me with my first garage he was a good uncle.

Larry I do remember all the fun things we did. Back then we did sooo much parties,games ohh and the driving down a one way hey.!! The food you could cook. When you see Johnny,Ronny,daddy you all will have fun! Party on!

Larry would mow his yard at a turtle speed (perfection). The mower was so loud that I wondered if he kept it that way so he could hear it. Larry was a wonderful neighbor. I usually called him before I went over because he was so hard of hearing. We would meet in the middle of the street. Me with some new dish and him with a bag of my containers.
