Mark Allen Franklin

Mark Franklin

Mark Allen Franklin was born September 7,1964 in Jacksonville, Texas to the union of Melvin L. Franklin to Elizabeth Elaine Williams Franklin.

In 1966 the family moved from Chicago to Kansas City, Missouri. It was here that Mark grew up. He attended St. Martin de Porres Catholic (Elementary) School, and graduated from Raytown South High School in 1982. After high school he attended Prairie View A & M University. After two years, he decided to pursue a career as a hair stylist. After completing the required training at LaBaron Hair dressing Academy in Overland Park, Kansas, armed with both certifications and skills, Mark moved to Chicago. This move gave him great joy and many clients at Yahia & Company Hair Salon. After a time he took a job with Eastern Airlines as a Flight Attendant. This position allowed him to travel while continuing to style hair when grounded. All was well until Eastern Airlines ceased to exist. In recent years now living in Las Vegas, Nevada, Mark returned to his first passion of mobile styling and cutting hair.

Mark will be lovingly remembered by his son, Halston E. Franklin of Las Vegas, NV; grandson, Anthony E. Franklin of Las Vegas, NV; mother, Elizabeth E. Franklin, father, Melvin L. Franklin of Kansas City, MO; grandmother, Elizabeth Fields of Kansas City, MO; great uncle, Leon Christopher of Jacksonville, TX; sister, Marlayna E.
