Dale Janes, 73, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away Saturday, January 29, 2022, at Liberty Hospital.
Dale was born on May 26, 1948, in Kansas City, Missouri, to his parents, Neva and Delbert Janes. Dale served in the Army from 1968 until 1971 and fought in the Vietnam War. He was a flight engineer and worked on E-5 Chinook Helicopters as well as a gunner.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Janes; sister, Linda (Robert) Schneikart; daughter, Penny (Glen) Stone; son, Jody Dale Janes; ex-wife, Peggy Janes; six grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be held Monday, February 7, 2022, at Fry-Bross & Spidle Funeral Home in Kearney, Missouri, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., with a graveside service at Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville, Missouri at 1 p.m.
